Immigration in the client console
This page is generated from Dimmi product documentation used by in-product help. UI labels match the client console; some screens appear only when the matching module is enabled for your organisation.
Use the Immigration section to follow work and residence permits for your workforce.
Overview
Immigration → Overview (also opened by clicking the Immigration section title) is the immigration case inbox with the same three segments as General → Overview, limited to immigration cases: Dimmi is handling, Needs attention (default — cases that need your input, or permits that are expiring soon or expired), and Completed (issued permits that do not need attention). Selecting a segment shows a paginated list of matching applications. Eligibility check (left of Start an application) runs a free nationality + contract outlook without creating a case. Start an application opens a dropdown of immigration types with HR-oriented labels (for example International relocation); choosing one takes you into that start flow.
Ongoing applications
Immigration → Ongoing applications lists in-progress immigration cases for your organisation. Open a row to open the application tracker (status, checklist visibility your role has, documents, permit panels). Click the person’s name to open their employee profile instead.
International employees
Immigration → International employees is the people catalogue for immigration scope. Open a person for their profile, compliance chips, and related applications. Add international employee asks for their name and work email, then optionally starts a work immigration case with that person already selected. You can add the person without starting a case.
Workforce
Everyone tracked for your organisation also lives under General → Workforce (immigration and social security together).
Person detail
Application tracker
Opening an application shows progress for that case: status, what is outstanding, HR-relevant summary, and documents your organisation can see. Clients do not submit applications to the authorities — your case handlers do.
Start application
From Immigration → Overview, Social Security → Overview, or General → Start a case, Start an application first shows a dropdown of available types (with HR labels such as International relocation), then opens the matching start flow. Start application is the multi-step wizard to begin hire or related applications (person — including optional nationality, which autofills when you pick someone from your catalogue — Employment details for work office / contract / optional salary-or-benefits document, Settling support in Denmark when offered — including Package choice for enterprise organisations — employer Power of Attorney when required, social security, family/extension, or Short-term visitor visas). Short-term visitor collects the people who need visas, the destination country, and employer documentation, then creates one application per person and sends each person their own invite link. Company certifications (Fast-track company certification, including extensions, and Host visitor approval) start from Organization → Certifications (Denmark when you have a Danish office), not from the Start an application dropdown — they confirm your company and start a company-level case without an employee invite. If your organisation already has a valid employer authorization (stored for 6 months), the authorize step is skipped for types that need it. For multi-person plans beyond Short-term visitor, continue in full Dimmi Counsel.
Pricing and settling support
When settling support is offered, that step comes after Employment details. With an organisation plan that includes this feature and configured packages, choose a Package at the start of Settling support in Denmark; the package’s covered services pre-select the settling toggles (you can still change them — extras outside the package may need deviation approval). Toggle optional settling services: Housing, Residence registration, Tax Setup, and Moving, plus whether your organisation covers accompanying family for this hire. Without an organisation plan that includes this feature, Dimmi service prices and a typical government application fee range are shown. Housing can include extras such as Accompanied apartment viewing and Move-in inspection handled by Dimmi. Moving is priced later on the invoice; the wizard shows example route costs only. Your advisor can review and send invoices from the client Invoices tab.
